OpenAI will switch on automatic ad rewrites in ChatGPT ads by default

From 30 October 2026, OpenAI turns on creative enhancements by default for new and existing self-serve ChatGPT ad campaigns. The system can rewrite headlines and descriptions, translate them, resize images and send clicks to a different page on the advertiser's site.

The key points

What it means for agencies

Opt-out defaults for AI-written ads are becoming normal across platforms. If you run ChatGPT ads for clients, review the setting before 30 October and tell clients what is on. The same question is worth asking about any automated creative setting in Meta's Advantage+ tools.
