Facebook ads budget calculator for the UK

Enter the results you want and what one costs you in pounds. Add VAT if it applies and see the monthly and daily budget.

Planning a Meta Ads budget in pounds starts with two numbers you already have: the results you want and what one result costs you now. This planner turns them into a monthly and daily budget, adds VAT if you enter a rate, checks whether each ad set gets enough results to learn, and lays out safe scale-up steps from your current spend. It uses your own cost per result, never industry averages.

How it works

How to use the result

Treat the plan as an estimate built on your own cost per result, so it holds only while that cost holds. Costs usually rise as spend rises and audiences are used up, so check actual results every few days and adjust. Large budget jumps can restart learning, which is why scale-up is shown in steps. Compare the daily budget with your pacing as the month goes on.

Common questions

Is VAT charged on Meta ads in the UK?

Check your Meta invoice for the tax that applies to your account. Enter the rate in the tax field to add it to the budget.

Where does the cost per result come from?

You enter it. Use your own recent average for the same account and result type. Published averages vary widely by industry, country and season, so we do not use them.

How is tax handled?

Enter the rate that applies in your country, such as GST or VAT. It is added to the ad budget to show the total billed. Check an invoice for the rate, and for whether your budget figure already includes tax.

Why check results per ad set per week?

Meta describes a number of results an ad set needs in a period to leave the learning phase. Splitting a small budget across many ad sets can leave each one short. Check Meta's current help pages for the figure.

How fast should I scale a budget?

Many teams raise it in steps of around 20 percent every few days, because large jumps can restart learning. Treat that as a rule of thumb and judge by results.
