Meta Ads wasted spend checker
Enter an ad set's numbers to see which of three wasted spend checks it fails. Runs in your browser. Nothing is sent or saved.

How it works
- Broken funnel: 50 or more link clicks and zero results. All spend on the ad set counts as wasted.
- Cost per result over target: live cost per result more than 1.5 times your target. Wasted = spend minus results x target.
- Audience fatigue: frequency above about 4 and CTR more than 30% below the account's baseline. Wasted = the last 48 hours of spend.
- Ad sets still in the learning phase are skipped.
How to use the result
These are the same three checks Cofoundr runs on every ad set. Use the result as a prompt to investigate: a broken funnel usually means a landing page or tracking fault, a high cost may mean the wrong audience or offer, and fatigue calls for fresh creative.
Common questions
Are these thresholds universal?
No. They are sensible starting points. Frequency and click-through norms vary by account, so compare with the account's own baseline.
Why skip ad sets in the learning phase?
Results are unstable while Meta is still learning, so flagging them leads to bad decisions.
Can I check many ad sets at once?
This tool checks one at a time. Cofoundr runs these checks on every ad set in every connected account.
